A smart choice for Planet & Costs

Diesel Oxidation Catalysts (DOC) and Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) catalysts are vital elements of modern emission systems, as they burn and reduce polluting emissions. While these components are designed for extensive durability, time will come where a replacement is needed.

Unfortunately, Euro IV, V and VI silencers are not designed for replacement of the DOC and SCR. So when the time comes, the entire silencer has to be replaced.

One of the solutions are Remanufacturing. Dinex supports some of Europe's leading Reman-workshops with a wide range of DOCs and SCRs for Euro IV, V and VI silencers. All engineered for industry standard performance, and for Euro VI, naturally: All Type Approved.

What is a DOC?

The Diesel Oxidation Catalyst burns wide range of pollutant gasses in the exhaust gas, and while doing so, it helps the Particulate Filter to burn trapped particles and soot.

A failed DOC may result is significantly more frequent active regeneration. Often the root cause are related to EGR coolant leaks or lack of air in the system.

What is an SCR?

The Selective Catalytic Reduction catalyst is where Nitrogen Oxides (NOx) reacts with AdBlue® and are reduced to harmless components. It is a part of the complete SCR system which also includes a range of pumps, injectors and sensors.

Unfavorable operating conditions or poor maintenance of AdBlue® system can damage the SCR substrate, which is often the reason for the need to replace it.

Remanufacturing calls for vigilance

Remanufacturing is a craftsmanship that require skills, knowledge and quality parts. We’ve seen countless examples of poor reman-jobs, with everything from catalysts that sits loose or hasn’t been replaced, to welds that leak exhaust and AdBlue®.
