Based on sensor reading, the pump draws the exact amount of AdBlue®/DEF needed for an optimal NOX-conversion from the tank and sends it to the Injector. To prevent contamination, the pump is equipped with an AdBlue® filter that protects the injector and the system from impurities.
A common cause of pump failure is crystallization and clogging, often due to AdBlue® contamination, improper storage or simply low quality.
